Ever since a WHO poster called Howe a lookalike Thunderbird puppet cannot take him seriously !!!

Re: Eddie Howe?
Willtell,

Arguably Benitez could have, if there had been a vacancy. But yes I take your point.

Then again, when was the last time a West Ham manager progressed to a top 4 job? And we're certainly not going to be in that company any time soon. So I don't really see the potential advantage there either.

Re: Eddie Howe?
The club hired Bilic, and for better or worse should stick by him for several seasons unless he personally brings the club into disrepute or is proven incompetent.

We're not Palace.

If, for some ridiculous reason those idiots would get rid of Slav, Mr Howe would be my first choice.

However, I want SLAV to be our manager for years to come. His stubbornness is causing a little issue currently, mainly this awful formation but I don't want anyone else at the helm currently.

penners28 5:20 Mon Dec 19
Re: Eddie Howe?
he has done a great job at BOMO, although he's had a massive amount of financial backing

I wouldnt want him here just yet. I want slav to succed and be here a long time

Rather stick with Bilic.

I think he would be a great fit for us.

Re: Eddie Howe?
In reality Howe is much more likely to come to the likes of us than he is to land a really top job. Those plum jobs at the top fourteen European clubs are shared around amongst a few obvious names.

Fwiw the next Arsenal manager is much more likely to be Simione than Howe.

stoneman 5:07 Mon Dec 19
Re: Eddie Howe?
Massively overrated and not a patch on Bilic.

Re: Eddie Howe?
Howe may keep Bournemouth in the Premiership for the next few season's. Earning himself a job at one of the Big guns. But when it all goes south after a dozen or so games. The fanbase of whichever club. Will be baying for Eddie's head.

Bit like Moyes at ManU.

Best way for an Englishman to manage a PL club is to get his team promoted.

Willtell 4:58 Mon Dec 19
Re: Eddie Howe?
A relegated manager rarely gets a top 4 job...

tnb 4:57 Mon Dec 19
Re: Eddie Howe?
If Howe is relegated with Bournemouth he will still get loads of credit for what they achieved and it will be seen as sadly inevitable and there was nothing more he could have done. If he then decides to leave, he will do so with a lot of credit and probably have his pick of quite a few tempting jobs.

If he comes to us and gets relegated, he will be slaughtered and a lot of the media will also present it as karma for thinking he was too good for currently fashionable Bournemouth.

If he keeps Bournemouth up again, his reputation will only grow further. If he kept us up, people would just shrug and say yeah well, as expected.

There is literally nothing in this potential swap to attract Howe. He'd have to be insane.

Willtell 4:57 Mon Dec 19
Re: Eddie Howe?
I was talking about Arsenal but as it happens, we have some that think they're superstars....

boltkunt 4:56 Mon Dec 19
Re: Eddie Howe?
We aren't exactly filled with "superstars", Will.

Willtell 4:50 Mon Dec 19
Re: Eddie Howe?
Howe has actually done a remarkable job for Bournemouth but so often skills like that aren't transferable. The one thing Howe lacks is experience of dealing with super star footballers and their moods....

exactly Egg

Howe to Arsenal, no chance. Even when Wenger leaves the hot seat those deluded wankers will want someone with a better cv than Howe

I also think Bilic will survive ...if he wasn't going to you'd have him gone before window opens surely?

we're less than convincing but starting to turn results around

the right buys in Jan could see us have a chance of top half, we're not that far away lets be honest

exactly we could be top half by Boxing Day

top 8 by Leicester, what hapens if we win both of them are we going to getr rid sat in 8th place on a 5 game unbeaten run?

"he will be with West Ham by end of January."

No chance, we've already played them at home.
